Apart from the very irritating KimChi, there are still food that is edible and kinda nice. Of all food, I miss Ginseng Chicken soup the most!
1) Eating at the Roadside.

Some kueh? I dunno what they called that.

I think some food from the street stall is very nice. Oh this is the Korean version of Tori Q, but it is very sweet. I still prefer the Japanese version!

Some can be quite gross!

Their Nian Gao (fried rice cake) is a must try for all tourist to Korea. Almost all the food stall sell them, it is just stick of dough in the orangy sauce. But gosh... Very very spicy and I find it quite nice for stick of dough to taste lidat.

Shabu Shabu and some fried hotdogs and snack. There are some stalls which sell BBQ squid, I really like the squid, really very nice!

Some of the stalls do provide shelter for their consumer to consume the food inside their stall. That is Korean version of Xiao Long Bao and there is kimchi flavour (eeee) so I still prefer Ding Tai Fung one!
2) Rice!
The restaurant's menu. Only four dishes to choose from if you dunwan Korean's BBQ.
In Korea, before the meal is served, they usually serve a table full of side dishes. All those kimchi and spicy stuff. Sometimes, I dun even know what I am eating. And gosh lor, I dunno why we are eating the meal when the side dishes are so muccccccccchhhh.
Scary amount of food for every meal. Wonder why I still din see any fat people in Seoul!

My rice! Look at the freaking amont of rice they gave even after all the side dishes. It is make up of 10 different kinda rice.

This is the ingredient for the rice.

And we just have to mix the ingredient with the rice.
The restaurant will provide a kinda sauce which is orange in colour, abit sweet and a bit salty with a little spicy taste. We just have to add this sauce according to your taste wth the rice and the ingredient.
Finally!!! I think it is quite nice except for the amount of rice they provide. It is too much for a normal person. But isn't this what you always see in the Korean drama? Especially in My Lovely Samsoon. But looking at the pic, I feel like eating the rice again. Hee...
3) Chinese New Year goodies.
It is rice cracker but come with a lot of variety and colours.

Cute right? They make the rice cracker like a sushi or make it like some prawn.

You can wrap it up as a gift if you want. Pink wrapper leh! Nice!
4) Fruits!
The pear is almost the size of my hand. And my hand is big!
The strawberry is so red. But not as nice as it looks. Not like Japanese one, sweet and juicy. Korean ones are sour!
5) Korean BBQ
Time: First day in Korea, Dinner time!
This reaturant's service is very nice. They help us to wear apron and help us to hang our coat so that wun get the "bbq smell" but in the end still have that smell lah!

Seldom see such oldies coke!

BBQ kimchi taste much much nicer than raw kimchi. I wonder why do I love Kimchi instant noodle so much when I dun like kimchi. See all the saucer with all the unknown sauces? These sauces are to be mix with the BBQ meat later. That big bowl of soup there is very salty and cold, I wonder what is the use of it? Cant be for drinking since it is so salty. For washing hand? I hope not. I din go and find out and we just ignored it.
Wah... Very fatty meat is used to bbq. They dun marinate the meat at all you know. But the taste is very nice!

Very friendly staff helps us to cut the meat and teach us how to eat. Hee... Told you their service is good! And if you are afraid that you cant communicate with them, fret not. Bcoz all the restaurant I went to, have China PRC pple working there. They can speak chinese what.

Ok the meat is cut to a small little piece, so you will use a big big leaf to wrap it. You can wrap it with every other thing you can find, like the BBQ kimchi & some onion then you mix it with all the sauces that they provide for you.

Ya just wrap it into a shape that you fancy, for me will be rectangle. Either you can eat it with many bites or straight one mouth just like Korean drama always shows. But bcoz I wrap a lot of things into it so I prefer many bites.

Bleh! Very nice! Kinda miss Korean BBQ now, bcoz at there we had it almost everyday so I feel so sick ut now I miss it lah! And look... That mysterious soup is UNTOUCHED!
Next.
Time: Second day of arrival, dinner time.
Every where we go. They used this kinda container for plain water.
Red is the theme for this restaurant.

Friendly staff helps us to stir the food. I dun think you can see but it is a mixture of kimchi, meat, very very big squid and some unknown substance in ti. They help to pour some orangy sauce into it before they stir.

Tadah! Become like this lah. And that orangy sauce they put in is super super super spicy. Can make your lip so much fuller, it is like almost everything is spicy there.

We ordered two different kinda BBQ, this is very bice coz not as spicy as the previous one.
We also have Ginseng chicken in that restaurant but the soup is orh (black) one leh and dun taste like ginseng chicken.
Next
Time: 1st day of CNY, dinner time!

Isn't this so much more simple? Haha... But this restaurant is so crowded and I find the food not bad though it is so much more simpler and we have to sit down on the floor. I dun like sitting on the floor lah. The legs get very numb easily.
And this is the beef one...
6) Ice Cream.
Ice cream in winter is so shiok. I had at least one ice cream per day when I was there. I can tell you that ice cream in winter is much nicer than ice cream in summer.
7) Korean Friends' recommendation!

Kheong Hua and Zhi-an in our hotel
I think everyone look so ugly in the photo :(.
Coz we just have suana, Jacuzzi then a sleep before our dinner time.

They bring us to this restaurant for the very nice authentic Ginseng chicken. Strictly by booking only. They also provide ginseng wine which is not very nice.

Nicest food I ever had in Korea man! I really like it lor, the soup is damn thick but just very very nice! And no more orh (black) soup.

Someone super act cute!
8) Lotsa French based bakeries

This Fauchon is located at Lotte's basement. I see a lot of french bakery in Korea and is quite expensive. A slice of cake cost around $8 so we bought a one whole cake ($70) from our hotel instead, at least got a 30% discount but turn out the cake is such a great disappointment. In the end, no one touch the cake and was thrown away.

We bought this from Fauchou! Singapore is selling at $10 for 3 but in Korea, it was much cheaper. But there was a big different in the taste, not very nice!
9) Food court
Their food court sells lotsa food. Perhaps Lotte departmental was a tourist attraction and that is why there are a lot of food from different countries. They were speaking to me in Japanese and I find them so retarded.
My fried rice. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh... I like it so much! Very nice especially the rice is so chewy. It cost around S$10 but I find it so worth it.

Their Tako Pachi is super small in size but no different from Japanese one.
Tata... I need to bath and have my dinner. Too hungry after posting all these photos! BTw, eating in Korea isn't cheap at all!
