Delhi Post
I am sorry, I know this came late.
Ya know, hectic schedule in school, kinda hate school but nvm, 3more mths to freedom!! I am in a pretty good mood now coz I just have my nails done. *hehehehe* Pretty yellow leopard print!! Its summer, that's why I chose yellow instead of my favourite-as-usual-pink *muahahahahha*

And also, finally got myself a hard drive, 160gb baby at only $100!! I just shifted all the thousands and thousands of photos into the baby. Not only that, it is studded with over-shiny crystals (so freaking shiny I tell ya) now coz I feel that it is too ugly. The crystals were abit ex though, cost me $49 but its sawroski crystal so nvm :)

But the happiest is that... I've got 3days break from school, I need the break badly.
Ok.

Anw, I did survive Delhi.
The place is just sooooo different from the sunny island I am living in. It was like a travel & living journey. But I am really glad I went and thus motivated to be a better person :)

Arrival on Terminal 3...

T3 is awesome. I mean the architecture is sooooooooo pretty ya know, except for the stupid flower which keep rotating, I kept asking whether it is an orchird but no one could answer me. You will know what I am talking about if you've been there yah.

I remembered someone told me that T3 is stupid bcoz there isn't anything, I guess I have to say that it is true, there was really nothing!! BUT when we checked in and went into the DFS, its completely a shopping paradise. Such awesome shopping paradise I tell ya, ranging from any brands, even Accesorize and C&K.

We shopped till we forgot about our flight. I am serious but lucky to hear the annoucement, last chance to board. *muahahahhaa*

Have ya tried the mochi ice cream from beard papa?! I have tried it so many times and Choco peppermint is the best. Anyway, we ended up very late for the flight was bocz of buying this ice cream, the staff was working at tortise kinda pace. *stick out tongue* Sorli... We are not in India that early right...

Nope. I did not watch bollywood movies, there was hollywood movies. *hehehehe*
Nope. I dun have to eat Indian food, there was other choices. *hehehehe*

Yes. The whole plane had no chinese, all indians and 1 ang moh (maybe he is a white indian, just that I dunno)

5hours later...
We had reached Delhi. Delhi time: 2.20am

Took a few shots while wating for my lugguage. This is the lugguage belt area and the airport is under renovation.

The custom officer was very grumpy, I very scared of him lor!

After 30mins...

Still no sign of any lugguage...!
The lugguage belt just kept stopping and moving, stopping and moving but no lugguages
ABNN said we must exercise patience when we reached Delhi!

The first few things that welcomed us when we finally got out the airport were the hot air and the smell.

Then I saw it!
Kid with abnormal big stomach and a very dirty old man so thin that you could see his ribs sleeping on the road, hundred of flys stopping on and surrounding them.

I couldn't take it. I have nv seen that in my life ever, not even when I am in China.
Even beggars back home were fat ok! You will never know how I feel unless you really come and see for yourself. It was saddening!

Momo came to pick us up and I finally got a glance of what they meant by parking space without any lot, meaning no drawings on the floor. Just parked where ever you can find a space. Cool huh?!

Get what I mean when I said its so different from where I am from. The road was soooo dark, this was one of the beta road with lamp post bcoz it was outside of my hotel.

For the usual road, lamp posts were like 2 or 3km away from each other. I am serious! So its like complete darkness, god you have to rely on the car lights and ur estimation.
And yes yes, you dun have to stop at the red light if you see no cars.

Oh my. And I saw a white pony riding on the road. I was soooooo surprise even though I was told I could see lotsa animals on the roads!! *hehehehehe*

Helllloooooooo??! Anybody there??
This is the lobby of our hotel at 4am, the staffs were all sleeping! Ya know how scary it is and the road outside was sooooo dark!!

But we managed to find them and checked in successfully. They gave us a room that is soooo far away from the entrance, it was like a 15mins walk from our room to the entrance. Ok... perhaps I was abit too exaggerated but well, it was far. Get my point yah!

I spotted mutiple lizards so fucking big, I had nv seen lizards so big yah, I tot those at my house were huge already but they were small case compared to delhi lizards seriously! There were *eyes widen* frogs jumping around too!!!

I spotted soooo much dust on the air-con, I guess no one has been staying at the room for a year already.

The next morning, we managed to hire a driver and went to visit Shah's mother.

That's her house.
All furnitures are custom-made. When we wanted to remove our shoes, she was kinda surprise and told us we dun have to, well, I din know they wear shoes at home yah.

She took us to the freaking big Fabric place (sorry I cant remember the name of the place coz, ya know, it was a long indian name) where there were soooo much fabric for me to choose from bcoz I am making my own clothes now. *smile sheepishly*

The road of Delhi...

Tuk tuk, they called it 3 wheelers and several men standing in the middle of the road. *hehehehe* They love to stand everywhere espcially near to road. It was like 40degree celsius but everyone seems to wear long sleeve shirt!

I spotted the cows too! Very happy to see the cows Can you see?? Its ass is facing us.
They just crossed the road as and when they like it then the cars will have to stop for them. There were soooooo many of them, everywhere ok but whenever I see them, I still feel kinda surprised!

Anyway, I din know cows are big, its ass are at my shoulder, in case you dunno, I am 1.72m. I only see cows in zoo where they are so far away from me and I tot they were small. Pardon my foolishness *stick out tongue*

Not to mentioned that the fabrics place was very filthy, tonnes of rubbish and shit at the side of the road yet there are children picking up thing from there to eat or what, I really dunno and I hope not.
There were lotsa children beggars swarming at us, the only tourist-looking people. Brown hair from the malnourishment and ultra thin with very abnormal big stomach. Sad! I dun dare to take out my camera bcoz I scare they might snatch.

Ya know, giving them money doesn't solve the problem. They grew up this way, they too will educate their future children to beg as well, its like a vicious cycle so money doesn't solve their problem.

Right education is the key yah so when I have the money, I am sooo gonna build schools and equip them with the right skill. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.

Lunch!
I nv touch Indian for your info. So Shah's mother got us most of the dry stuff and I have to say the kebahs were really nice. Something that I dare to eat and find it good. *hehehehe*

The uniform in the restaurant very cute. *muahahahha* The food took like 30mins to come. I chant to myself, *exercise patience*!!

After lunch, Shah's mother took us for a ride to see Delhi. So that's why I said I am like on travel and living channel. I am always on the car looking at the world outside.

Suddenly, the scene outside of the car seems to turn greenary yah. Its bcoz we were near to the prime minister's office.

The prime minister office.
It is freaking huge like a whole Orchard road I guess and my god the architecture is sooooo pretty. See the difference between our PMO to their PMO huh.

Commoners are not allowed in but there are pple WALKING in (can you imagine it??!) and taking photo.
The weather was toooo hot so we didn't want to get out of our comfort zone and talking picture. *hehehehehe*

Next was tourist place - The emporium.
Well, too arty farty and extremely expensive. Hey, you dun call a tourist place if you dun ripped the tourists right.

The another tourist place - Delhi hut
This was ok, sorta street market but I dun like to bargain. They sold us silk shawl at 20SGD and Sinagpore was selling like 10bucks. And we were so silly to think it was cheap.

NVM! The person even wanna sell me the cashmere shawl (which is a freaking beauty) at 800USD. I didn't want, in the end he said last price 50USD! Totally absurb! A total difference of 750USD, I didn't even open my mouth to bargain ok.

Clubbing scene.
Yes. Mix of bollywood and pop music.

Ya know, we used ultra-violet chop back home that is invisible. But in Delhi, as you can see in the picture, used black in colour chop!! Nooooo... Who says I was laughing at them. I wasn't! *insert innocent face*

Some photos:

In case, you think the bright colour dress person is me, it wasn't ok!! I got better dress sense, dun worry! Sze leng said after looking at how the pple dress there, she suddenly feels very confident about herself!! *muahahahahha*
I was wearing pencil skirt coz ABNN said cant wear short skirt or shorts (coz you might get molested easily). I very sad man, 40 degree celsius hor!

Anyway, ladies night, ladies have free drink the whole night. Super good yah?
But the drink was soooo high in alcohol content, I was tipsy after 2 cups, given that I am able to hold my liquor very well. It tastes really weird as well. Now I know why Indians can drink so well!

This is how their cigarette looks like. *hehehehehe*
OH anw, you can drink and drive there, they have got no laws saying you cant!

When we went back to the hotel, I was sloshed, cant even bath and finished my cup noodle. Told ya the drink is kinda too high in alcohol content.

The next day.

Szeleng on the left, me on the right.

My hotel was super huge yah and it seems to be for a getaway. And we didn't get to see other guest so we guess we might be the only one staying there ya know. That really freak me out!

Destination: Agra to see Taj Mahal! Approx, 4hours road journey *faint*
The main idea of visiting India is bcoz we wanna see the 7wonders of the world.

Pretty white mosque along the way. The architecture there are just superb, dun ya think so?!

Camels carrying good along the highway was a common scene.
The highway here and the highway at Delhi is just so different, our highway is like far and all that. In delhi, there were like street shops beside the highway and many pple & cows walking across as well!! Quite an eye opener yah!

We took a break from the car journey at this beautiful resort, the architecture again, super pretty!
There was this lady, I think the staff of the hotel, she hid in the toilet so that when ya go in, she will help ya open the tap for ya to wash your hand, then asked for tips. I didn't bring my wallet with me to the toilet.

And she asked me to go back and take. Ridiculous lah! Super angry!

Anw, along the highway, there were many beggars so that when you stopped your car, they will swarm to your car and keep knocking on your window or try to sell ya something. It was scary!

First stop: Tomb of Shah Jahan's father

Entrance of the tome. Very hot! Must take umbrella! *smile sheepishly*

Repairing the tomb and the exterior is made of beautiful marble and precious stone. We hired a tour guide and he is the one in white pants and shirt climbing up the stairs.

And going in, we saw lotsa deers at the field. I didn't ask why there were deers bcoz the tour guide didn't look like he likes to talk to me!

There it is. But must walk very far and super hot!!

Inside the tomb and there were really nice design of the marble and precious stones.
We left the place very quickly coz the tour guide told us that there weren't much to see here and advise us to go to Taj Mahal quickly.

He very good lor. He nv bother to explain stuffs to us, he thinks we know it all, ya know. Soooo angry!

Then another 1hour ride, we reached Taj Mahal.
But due to environment factors, cars or any petrol operated engine are not allowed in and we have to get down to take the 3 wheelers or the pony ride.

Us in 3 wheelers. Not very nice experience. Almost fainted, the heat was unbearable!

Pony was toooooooooooooo smelly so we took the 3 wheelers. What? You think they will bother to bath the horse meh?! I guess the horse has nv bath in his life eh!

Then after that, about 50metre away, we had to walk in.
Told ya the cows are EVERYWHERE.

Going into Taj Mahal.
Eletronics except camera are not allowed, phones must be off. My electronic fan was confiscated.

The surrounding! On the left is for muslim girls.

The place was so huge that we need signboard. Main entrance is at the East gate.

Group photo before going in!!

Persian calligraphy.
Higher panels are written slightly larger to reduce the skewing effect when viewing from below, so that it will have the effect that the words are in same size. How smart!

The calligraphy reads "O Soul, thou art at rest. Return to the Lord at peace with Him, and He at peace with you."

I am at a point where I see Taj Mahal, no less or no more.
Everything is symmetrical in this place, how do they do that given that they dun have great technology then?!

A brief history of Taj Mahal, Emperor Shah Jahan built the mausoleum in the memory of his wife. Ok... As according to the tour guide, Shah Jahan has 3wives but only 1 wife born him many sons and thus when that particular wife is about to die, her last wish to her husband was "to build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before."

Tadah! Photo with Taj Mahal! But the chair is so freaking hot, it almost burnt my backside!

Taj Mahal seems slanted on the photo yah? Actually it is designed this way, not 90degree but 94degree so that if there is an earthquake, the building will fall outward instead of inward where the tomb is.
Wah! The architect really thinks a lot ah!

Soooooooooooooo beautiful and ultra magnificent! You have to be there to feel urself
It will be even more beautiful in full moon as the building is made of white marble and crystal so it will shine and sparkle under full moon light!

The plinth and tomb took roughly 12 years to complete. The remaining parts of the complex took an additional 10 years. I dunno if it is bcoz pple in the past has nothing to do or what but 22years, it seems a bit crazy.

The garden and pool.
I was asking if there is any reason to build a garden and pool in front of the tomb, the tour guide said no particular reason.
I dunno if there is really no reason of just that the tour guide cant be bothered to explain to us.

Getting near...

We had to wrap our feet before going in so that we wun damage any marble. They are trying their best to save the tomb from any damage.

There was a sudden rush of coolness when we stepped in bcoz the tomb is made of marble and marble is known to be cooling yah!
At this point, I was told that camera was not allowed. Anw, it was too dark to even take photo in the tomb.

2 red sand stone buildings stand sysmetrical beside Taj Mahal, precise mirror image of each other!!
One of them is a mosque, facing the mecca direction while the other one is built solely for the purpose of architectural balance. Siao boh? Build another building for balance only leh. Really got toooo much time on hand.

Anw, do you know that everything in Taj Mahal was exact sysmetrical except for the tomb of Shah Jahan bcoz his tomb is built only after everything is constructed. His son, Aurangzeb buried him next to his wife.

You must be thinking, no trucks no technology, how on earth are they going to move these heavy material like marble.
Well, over 1000 elephants were used to transport the material during the construction *sigh* poor elephants!

After the 22yrs of building the tomb, Shah Jahan decided to build a mausoleum for himself across the river in Moonlight garden (back of taj mahal which is in the pciture) but before he could finish that, he was deposed by his son and put under house arrest.

That is sad! Somemore he built the tomb for the wife who give birth to the son!

Surrounding of Taj Mahal. Big tree and the building for toilet. *hehehehe*

Attempting some bollywood style. *muahahahha*

Lunch at tourist place.

*muahahahaha* Taj Mahal restaurant!

Indian-Chinese food is kinda nice there but it was expensive. Every dishes is like for 1person quantity, ohwell, we are supposed to ripped since we are tourist and cant survive outside food (hygience factor yah!!)

I guess it means Coca Cola in Hindi. *hehehehhee*

We went back to Delhi after that, we were all tooooo tired to visit the famous red fort. Its a pity yah but the heat is killing us and needless to say we need another 4hours ride back!!

Next day: Gurgaon
Poshiest area of Delhi where all the multinational companies are!!
Ya know, places with expat are usually very nice like Holland V and Dampsey!

I was ssooooooooooo happy to see such building, I mean its high rise buidling!!! which look much normal yah! *hehehehehe* But it is a cleaner and neater place and the parking lots have got markings on the floor, less horn tooooo, anw, this is where I saw pigs crossing the road.

Seems like pig is much clever to choose places that is cleaner and better. *muahahahhaha*
We went to visit Mayank and his family, and their house is really like a condo so clean and nice which I feel very happy, ya know, finally, a much 'normal' place.

Next: Shahpur Jat
A small town for local designer and local label. A fine place to shop for nice and good quality stuff.
Dresses 100USD and above but everything is niceeeee!! I like!

Next: M-J market
For tourist as usual but kinda nice. I bought 4 ear rings for over 80SGD, I mean there is nowhere for me to spend the money anyway and I like the ear rings.

Last day: Connaught place.
Tourist infested place yah! We were supposed to go to somewhere before connaught place but when I heard that we had to bargain, I told them no, we bypassed that place and head straight to connaught place where we dun have to bargain. *hehehehehe*

At connaught place.
The labour there is super cheap I guess, when we went into Levi's, there was like 20 staffs around and they will keep asking you to try this and that. So the ratio of staffs to cust is 2:1, the usual ratio should be 1: 4 isn't it? *muahahahhaha*
Alteration will only take 30mins or less, I guess there is like even more staffs working behind the counter yah.

We spent all our money there as it is the last day and bought several redundent things. Just buy for the sake of buying seriously. *stick out tongue*

The next morning:
4am to the airport on an un-conditioned taxi. No choice coz we need bigger taxi for our luggauge.
Byebye Delhi!

You can see beautiful fort everywhere!!
Home sweet home.

I conquered Delhi. I will be a better person.
My life is too good, perhaps to them, my kinda life is a life that they nv dare to dream of.
I took toooo many things for granted, I am glad I went for this trip and its such an eye-opener trip bcoz at least I learnt that whatever I am facing is nothing compared to them.

Their ways to survival is simply tooooo harsh!
I am no longer a frog in the well!
