Taipei Day 1

*Drum roll please*
Exam finalllllyy came and go. *hehehehehhe*

Today's paper was the most fuck up one. 2hrs were barely enough, give me 3hrs, I dun even think I can finish. Anw, its over.

WOOHOO...
I got soooo many things on hand to do and I cant wait to do them man.

But first of all,
Taipei Trip.

Taipei Day One!

Both me and Aza had been planning for this day since like years ago, since our graduation -___-we were so excited and were chatting to each other on msn till 3am in the morning when we suppose to meet at the airport on 11am.

I woke up 8.30am to continue packing (I dun understand why but I can only start packing properly on the very last min) and when I am on the way to the airport in my mum's car, I realised I forgot to bring my phone, ohwell, its always the case, isn't it?! So obviously I was late, but it was only 10.30am then and aza had already reached. Can you believe that she reached so early?

And the total weight of our check-in lugguage weigh (gasp gasp!!) 25kg, how can we not worry about excess bagguage when we return home?!

Oh yes! I finally tried the automated customs, I had always been tempting to try it everytime I travel. But this time bcoz of the long queue, the customs staffs want every Singaporean to use the automated machine. And I had to say that it is awesome, super fast and efficient, why queue when we need not right?! *hehehehhehe*

I blew like $600 at airport shopping *heart attack*. I didn't plan it anw. Well, you cant blame me bcoz I bought Lamer anti-age serum for my mum for her mother's day.

This thing costs $500 and retail price is $800+. I mean who doesn't want to buy if the difference is so big?! *wink*

I was choosing between La pairie and Lamer and both are $500 (for a long time) but in the end I chose Lamer bcoz the sales personnel was there to push the product. I sense that Aza was a little impatience while waiting for me to buy my stuffs. I feel bad! *many sorryssss*

You must be thinking, eh she will feel bad one ah??! Stop that ok. I am not that kinda person you thought I am ok!

Anw, if anyone is thinking of buying mother's day present, I recommend Lamer bcoz as according to my mum, after using for 2weeks, she felt that her face had sorta tightened. (*wah wah*) So it works isn't it? If it works then I think its definitely worth the money. *Wink*

Apart from that, I also got my DermaWhite eye cream protector :)
We also got a few things from MAC, at first, no sales personnel was at the counter but I realised she was hiding at one corner, doing her make-up -____-.

Aza got her loose powder, I din wanna get anything initially since already spent so much but as Aza is choosing her loose powder, I was so tempted to get an orangy lipstick. I ended up buying 2 lipsticks and 1 bronzing powder (I know. I lack self-discipline). Wanted to get a sculptor brush but they dun have the stock, perhaps I will get it at Bobbi Brown outside of DFS. *hehehe*
Bobbi Brown made good brushes but it gotta cost a bomb!

Then Aza told me that the mac sales person like dun really like her coz Aza told her the wrong flight number and she talks to Aza in Chinese. Muahhahahahha. That's funny. Why get upset right, as if you will be seeing her any sooner.

Boarding the plane!
Look at how beautiful the cloud is?
Aza said look like candy floss and she wanna pinch it and I said it reminds me of michellin logo! *Hehehhehe*

Aza, looking all excited, so excited, very excited.

And she tried to take my photo with her 'my melody' camera pouch. Of course I was like, "no, no" coz I nv curl my eyelashes lah.

Kidding lah. Just that I feel shy leaving my photo on other pple camera. Its just plain phobia. Some of your must be wondering, HUH?! Shy?, how can I be shy after countless of cam-whoring, shameless label flaunting bla bla bla... Oh please... Shut up, get that tots out of ur mind. That's wrong perception of me! *flutter eyelashed innocently*

Then what seems to be like 10days...

The sun began to set and on the plane I kept asking Aza for the time, I was quite scare she finds me irritating.

Dun you think travelling will be so much nicer if we dun have to endure the time taken to sit on the plane and be pressurized? I dun think I am the only one who think this way. (I see heads nodding!)

And what seems to be like another 10days...

We finally touched down to Taoyuan international airport. As usual, it looks damn old and kinda rundown for the image that Taipei tried to build all along! Cant wait to leave the airport as soon as we touched down. *teehee*

We proceeded to take the coach and I was told to take freego bus to reach our hotel. We kept looking at the sign around the coach area for Freego but to no avail. I was like, "shit dun tell me its another place?!" and Aza was like maybe we take a look at the directory, which of coz dun even know what the directory is about (chinese, chinese and more chinese).

I stood there and stared for a few mins b4 I realised that freego is 飞狗 (flying dog) -_______-.
Direct translation isn't it?! They love doing that man.

We bought to and fro tickets at a very cheap price, I tot it will be much expensive but its not, woohoo!! and the receptionist was so aggressive *jaw drops*, I tell you, she talks as if she dun need to breathe ok. She told us that we will alight at the first stop and there will be a public bus to drive us into our hotel, I made her repeat that for 3times bcoz I catch no ball of what is she talking about. *roll my eyes*

She told us to take a seat and she will call us when the bus is here, of course she didn't lah, its the bus driver who call for us. *arghhhhh*

Onto the coach and the small TV in front of my seat is spolit so I just stared outside of the window for a full hour b4 the driver called us to alight.

When we finally alighted. me and Aza was like where is the public bus (*scratch head*) that the aggressive receptionist told us, luckily, there were some other tourists who are heading to our hotel as well. *major signs of relief*

So we approached them and initially the few aunties were like very indifference to us but the oldest ah ma was the nicest, She told us to follow them and be careful of our lugguage. When you get such nice friendly pple abroad, you tend to be so touched. *tears in eyes*

And we carried our lugguage and brave thru Ximending, that is sooooo embarrassing ok especially when you are taking such a gigantic luggage. To my amazement, our hotel is right in the middle of the Ximending and is really out of nowhere.

Check into our hotel and was real surprised the double bed was so small, I wondered if it can fit 2 full-grown males or not. After which, we headed to of course *beam beam beam* Shilin night market to fill our stomach. We were really hungry then. *smile sheepishly*

Xi Men Ding by night.
Look so much like Japan yah.

And spotted lotsa 7 zai pushies.
Cute?! So cute and Aza is the only person who thinks it is not.

From Xi men station to red line Jian tan station for our destination.
The railway in the MRT station. They really queue up b4 the train arrives and I like that, I dun like passenger who dun queue.

Finally reached! The rainbow colour pasar malam looking thing yah?! Yes that it is. Aza was in a foul mood by then bcoz a hungry person is a angry person. By the time we reached there was already 8.30 -9pm ok!

Some blur and lousy photo of Shilin Night market. Every photos of Shilin is in such lousy quality, I think we are sorta too hungry to hold our camera well. *hehehehehe* Can you see how crowded that place is?, moreover it was a weekend so that explains why yah.

The first stop in Shilin is BBQ squid and fried sotong ball.
And guess what, we tot there was a long queue and we walked right to the end of the queue and happily stood there and day dream about the bbq sotong for a few min b4 I sense somthing is not right; the queue was stagnant and not moving!! Then my-god-damn-hungry-instinct told me the "queue" doesn't seem like a queue!! I kept looking around and I realised my-god-damn-hungry-instinct was so god damn right. We are so blur lah no wonder we love sotong so much. *Hehehehehhee*

Of course, in the end, we managed to get our fried sotong ball and bbq sotong. It is really nice plus the fact that we both love squid!! They provided some powdery stuff for us to dip the sotong ball. I dun have any idea what exactly the powdery stuff was but it does taste salty!

For 8years, I didn't know my best friend love squid and she din know I love squid too! Oh yeah... you see we weren't exactly best friend, we just pretending to be. *hehehehehe*

And oh, if you dun eat Shilin chicken cutlet then go to shilin night market for what right??
I know I just asked a stupid question but I was thinking of a really good title or rather a way to introduce the chicken cutlet so that I can make an impact but couldn't think of anything good. Soooooo that explains why its such a stupid sentence/question. Kuakua... *Flutter eyelashes innocently*

(Please be kind, dun laugh!! Not all marketing students are creative ok!!! *HIDES*)

Check out the amazing queue, I was really shock to see such a long queue but Aza assured me it will be fast and of coz it was real fast. You cant blame me right, I dun normally go to crowded places where long queues are normal.

Anw, there was some big-ass notice there, informing us that they dun cut the cutlet for anyone even if you are Michael Jackson, ok, the Jackson's part is my word. But they sounded THAT serious! *Muahahahahha.* Both of us feel that the cutlet taste better w/o cutting. So we had decided, we will tell the person/staff or whoever to not cut our chicken when we get back to Singapore.

In the end we couldn't finish it, initially the plan was to share but I realised I got no small change so bought 2 cutlets to get some small change. Wait... You think I am dumb?! But hey the money changer dun provide small change but big notes ok! Then whenever I handed the big notes to them, they whine and complained, making me feel extremely unglam!!

Anw when I look at the picture of the cutlet now, I almost drool bcoz it was so nice and piping hot! I really regretted not finishing it then. *Sob sob*

Part/ alley of the Shilin market. You gotta look at the crowd, I am not kidding you when I said its crowded. The place looks hot and stuffy isn't it but nope, the weather that night is damn cooling and a bit COLD and that kinda weather to eat hot chicken cutlet was the best time. *hehehehehe*

*hehehehehhe* The famous Taiwan Oyster omelette (anw how do you spell it?) and bubble tea. Love love their bubble tea. They are soooo generous with the bubble, I kept telling Aza that as if their bubble is free!!

Although, we both didn't like oyster, we still give it a try and feel that w/o the orange sauce, it will be much nicer. Personally, I still prefer our orh-ah-jian back home.

Shilin Tempura and *Drum roll* Smelly Tofu. *gasp*

I know I know, million dollar question; whether is it stink or smelly or not right. Nope. Not at all. It smells like some cock up drain or sewage pipe but taste absolutely normal.
Aza was really not satisfied that the smelly tofu doesn't stink at all and she kept telling me her friends told her that it gotta be soooooo smelly.

Sitting at the store. At first, the owner was so friendly but once we ordered and paid, her attitude was a complete 180 degree change. - CRAP! *Shrugs*

Trying to catch me gorging myself with food. She is very evil one ok! *hehehehehehe*

Pose with the food before we start attacking, you see she is already armed with her weapon (Read: Chopsticks) :)

My turn!
I know I look very sleepy in the picture but ya lah, 5hrs of plane ride and only sleep a total of 4hrs the previous night, of course appeared a bit tired.
Anw, I dunno if that evil Aza is my best friend or not bcoz I asked her to help me take a photo with the dishes and she cut away the dishes in the picture lor.

Mummy... we really did try our best to finish it buttttttt were really too full. Seriously, we really din wanna waste the food but we did try our best *cough cough* and I was already feel like puking with too much junk in my stomach.

I kinda like the tempura though its texture taste like vomit (sorry if you are eating something while reading this, kuakua.) after soaking in the gravy for too long. I think Aza like the tofu bcoz she ate quite a lot of it as compared to me bcoz I dun like tofu.

Then its dessert time!!
We had the ice jelly with pearl, it was recommended on some tourist book. They called ice jelly as ai yu, I like the name, sound very shu nu. And of course, we din finish it but if given we are not that full, I will love it.

We gave up Shilin Market w/o trying the stir fried squid, but we promise ourselves that we will try it b4 returning home. *Muahahahha* In the end, we didn't! What's new right?! We headed back to the MRT station to find our way to Miramar entertainment centre.

Along the way back to the station, dun you think this traffic juction is like so big?!
The funny thing is that, wooooo, there was a big-ass poster advertisement of a clinic called 'Korean cosmetic' and the poster comprises of a before & after photo of a girl with cosmetic surgery. Now... who says chinese are conservative. We are not! *Teehee*
I wrote down the bus that goes to Miramar from the tourist book but I couldn't find the bus at the bus station. Sadded! That tourist book is just a piece of crap! *sign*

No choice... So I went to ask the MRT staff, he told us to take red 3 and we were ready to take that whatever bus but decided to ask someone in case if anything is wrong and then guess what?! (*heart attack!!*)The helpful couple said that red 3 goes the other direction, not to Miramar!!! That stupid MRT staff trying to bluff us, eat shit and die! *Laser stare at him*

In the end, the helpful couple told us to tag along with them and she will guide us the way. She and her husband or friend or whoever are super friendly *xie xie, xie xie*. Along the way, she kept trying to talk to us in English and of course we catch no balls of what she is trying to say. *stick out tongue* I already told her I can speak Chinese but I dun think she believe me.

We took a MRT to change to a bus. I tell you, the bus is damn funny, you have to look at the instruction somewhere at the front whether to tap (ez-link) when you board or tap only when you alight. Confusing yah? *omg it is lor* There are some buses where you have to board at the back gate and not the front gate! There isn't shelter for the bus station, the bus station are drawn on the road indicating bus station in chinese. Aza told me that she can never spot a bus station. *hell agree!*

The funniest thing is that the bus number and the direction plate is situated on some skyhigh pole and everyone is straining their neck to see. -___- Why make it so high ?! I cant even see a thing. *sign* My eyesight is falling or what?

We were on the bus for so long and I almost fall asleep. I tot miramar is very near to jiantan station but I guess I am wrong. *stick out tongue* I sounded bimbo. *bleh*

After 10days on the bus, I finally saw it. We had reached. *Yayness*

The couple told us to alight but the bus was so crowded and we had to go all the way in front to tap the stupid ez-link. What's more... The driver was so impatience, he wanted to close the gate and drive off. *hang heads* Cant you see the bus is so freaking crowded, cant he wait for a while meh?! *sulk*

Luckily, the friendly couple shouted (so loudly as if she tot that the bus driver which is probably hmmm... 3 metre away couldn't really make out what she is shouting about. Her screaming... opps.. :x er er... I mean shouting give me a scare of my life, al my tiredness suddenly disappear *stick out tongue*) to the driver that "there are someone alighting".

I cant nv forget this scene for the rest of my life *hehehehehe*

I tell you, she shouted so loud and I feel kinda touched, would you do that/go all out for some stranger that you wun even meet again?!

Me with the ferris wheel as the background. Soooo pretty. *beam beam*

Some random pics about our legs and aza irritating 'my melody' camera pouch trying to out-perform us. *muahahahha*

Cam-whoring - Me and Aza tried to take photo of us with the ferris wheel but of course failed badly. *sign* And there isn't anyone who can help us bcoz that place, I mean the bus stop is like so deserted.

On the way finding the way up to the ferris wheel, spotted this really cool tree. I guess next time when I am building my house, all my trees will be nicely decorated like this cool one but of course with more variety of colours... wah!... *hallucinate*

I think this is a rose tea cafe and it lights up so beautifully which caught my attention.
I went to ask the staff of this rose tea cafe the way up to the ferris wheel but she din know. She was nice enough to ask me to ask the security guard instead. *nods* I shall do just that.

But before I approached the security guard, I spotted carrefour, ok..., so that's the chinese name of carrefour. Sorry lah... I nv know carrefour has a chinese name! *flutter eyelashes innocently*

After snapping some redundent photos of the surrounding, I finally (and lazily, you cant blame me, the weather is sooo damn good!) went to ask the buey-song-looking-security guard for the direction *grrrrr*. I think he had to answer such question 1500 times a day to some irritating tourist like us who failed/refuse to read the signage.*EVIL laughter*

I like this picture. I shall name it as the "Stairway to the heaven". *teehee* Sound great?! yah? My creativity is coming back. *Muahahahha* I must have been using too much brain during the exam. *sheeshhh*

Us on the way up to the escalator. I know, retarded & shameless!
But its my blog after all... *teehee*

And Here We Are!!! *Thuderous applause*

*Woohooooo...* Isn't this pretty pretty? I helped Aza to capture that beautiful moment but she looks sorta unaware and a little smiling too happily.
Nvm. I can always help her to re-take. I am really nice! *smile sheepishly*

With beautiful ferris wheel changing colour to purple, blue & pink, *Grinz* but Aza still look kinda unaware or perhaps she dun really care about my camera. *sadded*

And of course its my turn for the photo moment!!!

Barney-looking creature in action. *stick out tongue* Look at how excited I am, I dunno what expression to use while trying my best to pose so I chose that. Look excited yah? Yes... Nooo... Whatever! I dun really care. But wait, why is my ferris wheel so dull as compared to Aza one? Why wasn't mine purple, blue and pink?@
So I made her re-take again. *evil laughter*

Yeah very nice but will be nicest if those idiotic tourists weren't behind me! *GGGrrrrrr, evil laser stare at them*
At that point when I was posing for the photo, I heard someone calling my name. Of course I just heck about it thinking I heard wrongly bcoz cant possibly someone in Taiwan knows me right.

It turned out that (Cardiac Arrest!!) Ronald was in Taipei as well. I was shocked beyond words to react, therefore I was in an awkard silence for a few seonds (it was hell awkard, I think he sorta understand why I couldn't react and he took off his beanie to let me have a good look at him. *Muahahahahha*) before I remembered who he is. *Sign* My memory is failing too yah?!

He told me that it is his 5th day there and he is super tired! 5 days after what he told me, I truly can understand why he said that to me. Bcoz I feel as tired as him I guess! Muahahahhaa... Its true! I mean wun you feel tired after walking like non-stop about 12hrs a day and carrying god-damn heavy shopping stuffs while walking?! That tot make me feel so turn off about travelling seriously!!

Then Miramar started blowing lotsa lotsa bubbles into the air and playing love song at the same time. The atmosphere and the cooling weather were like so freaking romantic and at that point of time I feel a sudden rush of goosebump all over my body!! *teehee*

I love that scene, wish I didn't have to leave. *sign*

While buying the ticket, saw this whatever it is called. Of course its just a prop, you cant ride on them.

As we walked towards the ferris wheel, it became even more prettier and maginificent.

Tai Mei le! *Gasp Gasp Gasp* It changes colour somemore.

As you can see, we are really delighted that we came. Ohwell *shake head & sign*, you cant really see, both photos that Ronald helped us to take were blur like cock.

Quite sadded that the photos turned out this way bcoz it looks just fine on the camera screen *sheeeshhhh*

Moving on, we went to queue up for our ride. But the queue was so confusing *shake head*, there were 2 queues, 1 with lotsa pple and another one empty but we didn't know which one to take bcoz as usual all instruction is in chinese and who will be bothered to read right, so we took the queue that is with a lot of pple. In the end that queue is for *Gasp* transparent cable.

Which means the whole cable is transparent even the bottom of the cable!! *omg!! Scary*

Courtesy of the staff to inform us that the transparent cable need to wait for at least 50mins, if not we wouldn't have know that we are queueing on the wrong queue, bcoz we DUNWAN the transparent cable (Are you crazy!! Trasparent even at the bottom of the cable, I would faint onto the floor of the cable making the cable to shake violently and then all the screws might get all loose up and then *bom* the cable FALLS from the sky high position then me and Aza would perish together... oh no... *hallucinates, hallucinates*)

Anw, he talks sooooooo fast till I suspected it was not chinese but some aliens' secret code or signal that he sent up to his planet to inform the other aliens that he spotted two pretty girls *teehee* and they can come and abduct us for experiments when we are on the ferris wheel in mid-sky position bcoz we dun seem the sort that will put up a struggle in a ferris wheel.

Okok... I know I am rambling again, but what aliens' experiments??1 I am still thinking about that part.
Anw, the point is that he talks way too fast that we couldn't make up what he is trying to say and he annoys the hell out of Aza.

He talks lidat:
"我们的透... lalalalalalalala... lalalalalalalala... lalalalalalal...你们 lalalalala..."

"HUH?!"
Looking at him with absolutely retarded face while I was thinking about the aliens story.

Yes yes... That was exactly the number of words I can catch in the freaking-god-damn-long sentence.

He repeated twice and Aza was so impatience plus annoyed, in the end, she showed the staff a very disgruntled expression and said something like, "what are you talking about!!"

Mind you, it is not question mark but exclaimation mark ok.

Of course in Chinese lah.

But if I am that staff, I would have cried.

And obviously we opt out of the transparent cable. *eeeyerrr scary!!!*

Up up we go...

All stuffy inside.
Before the cable went up, the staff gave us a number and told us to call that number if we happened to meet with some mishap up in the air. As if, there is something surely going to happen man. Give us a bad scare! *trembles*

Me in the cable. Trying to be calm!!

Inner part of the ferris wheel where the green light comes from. Pretty! *nods*

Moving up and up...

It became soooooooo scary!! The height the height is a fear that I dun think I can conquer even though I have dived from 10metre high during the swimming lesson in Secondary school !! *tiny voice inside me began to scream for helpssssss!!!*

I tot it was only me but turned out Aza got very freak out too as it moves up.
It was so freaking high and normally when I was in the escalator on some 5th floor, I already think its so scary. *helps!*

So one way to not freak out and faint is to keep taking photo to distract ourselves, of course not the scenary but ourselves. *hehehehehehe*

Aza caught me with my flat hair while I take a photo of her. I was so freak out that I hv to keep holding onto the rail at the side. *sulk*

My photo of her. She is looking all relax isn't it.

I shamelessly took a shitload of photos of myself bcoz I have an excuse... opps :X, er... I mean reason to distract myself using the camera. *Teehee*

The reason why I have to hold onto the rail is bcoz I have to restrict my movement up in the air and could move too much if not the cable will tilt to a side and shake. Or perhaps I hallucinate all about the shaking. *Muahahahhahhaa...*

But when the cable goes up to the highest point, it wasn't that scary anymore. *teehee* Sound contradicting yah? *nods* But its true, I think once you get used to ur fear, it is no longer ur fear. *Muahahahaha...*

Actually it became quite relaxing when it reached a certain point. *teehee*
And from high up, the scenary look really nice and you could even see the whole taipei or perhaps only a little part of it lah, I dunno. *grinz*

Anw, before we came up, we saw this prop or something and Aza said it will be fun taking the photo with it, therefore we went back to the 1st floor, which is where the very cool tree with blue lighting was.

That's the props. I hope you wun be laughing at our foolishness *GRrrrrr*
She wanna be the girl.

So I be the boy.
Or whatever it is, the hole is too big for our face and big enough till we could just put our head in so it isn't fun at all. - CRAP! Why did they design it in such a way... *Pout*
Then we left Miramar.

Miramar from far. Still pretty yah?! *Nods!*
The whole of miramar just remind me of Ministry of Sound, I dunno why too. *teehee*
Oh yes! Oh yes! We were planning to go to Taipei MOS after miramar bcoz its just nearby but in the end we totally forgot about it and only remembered it when we were already on the taxi home. *Sign* *arghhhhhh* Our memory is failing!!

We crossed over to the Family Mart opposite of Miramar bcoz Aza wanna get her friends something.
Hey, look at the banner, they got Hello Kitty cake pre-order for mother's day. But I dun think mothers love hello kitty. *Muahahahaha...*

We headed home after that on a taxi coz we tot there isn't any MRT at such late hours; 12am. We were so unlucky *stomp feets*, we hailed a stupid taxi with a mad taxi driver or rather he stopped in front of us. This crazy guy drove so fast ok, like 100km/hr on those small little road then he occasionally jam break and we almost fell towards the front and hit the front seat.

I think he saw us frowning and whispering something about him, which is why he started acting all weird.

He started talking on the phone with someone, or maybe not, or he was talking to us but I dunno lah. I only knew that he kept repeating the same thing over and over again very loudly, something like "You have to drive good pple only, you cant drive bad pple..." in chinese. *Smack head*

He is crazy & seriously mad!
What the hell did he do that for man?! *GRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr*

The taxi fare wasn't cheap anw so our instinct told us that he is out to cheat us, he must have taken the long road. *screw him*

Anw, I realised the MRT operated till 12.30am bcoz there were some bunch of youngsters running towards the MRT station and saying "hai you, hai you", meaning that the MRT is available.
We didn't know, if not we could have just take the MRT instead of meeting such crazy taxi driver. We were all exhausted when we reached our hotel, by the time we bath and watch finish some TV, it was almost 2am. *yawnz*

Some random tots...
Through out all this 5days, I really think it was tiring but fun.
Me and Aza kinda miss Taipei now even though we so much wished to go back home when we were there. Muahahahahaa...
So we decided that we will returned but the next time we will tour the whole of Taiwan; Taipei, Tainan, TaiChung, Hualian & Kenting. *Teehee*

Yayness!
Will blog about the rest of the stuffs about Taipei when I am free.
Bcoz uploading and resizing of the photo took me 5 freaking hours.
Rearranging and bla bla took me another 2hrs
Writing all the stuff took me 3 freaking DAY. *GRRrrrr*
Mad man.
So I will only blog about it when I am free and got nth to do.
Till then again! Tata!!
