Taipei 3rd day...

We woke up feeling soooooooo tired, almost half dead but *whisper* was as usual too slow to have any breakfast. *hehehehe* So we headed for our early lunch at the Modern Toilet restaurant in XMD.

I have been quite looking forward to visit this restaurant since Jaclyn showed us the ppt slide in TP about the restaurant. Judging by its name, you're right, yes it is a toilet theme restaurant, how cute?! *teehee*

The address:
台北市西寧南路50巷7號2樓
No. 7, Lane 50, Xining S. Rd., 2F
Tel: (02) 2311-8822
In case you wanna go as well but have no idea where it is.

Anyway, I had done a whole lot of research on how to get there but it was damn confusing bcoz XMD is soooo huge.

The instruction goes like this:
Look out for a lane with lotsa Tattoo shop
Near the Neoprint building that is 3 storeys high with neon lights and in the heart of XMD

Walk through the lane, cross the road at the end to a 7-eleven store opposite a multi-storey carpark.
The restaurant will be in front.

Confusing yah?!

Luckily both of us were observant enough, we know where the lane they were talking about. *teehee*

*Tadah*
*cue for thuderous applause*

A 5mins walk from our hotel, we saw the toilel bowl hanging in mid-air, were quite proud of ourselves actually because many many tourists got lost on the way, ya know. *hehehehe*

The entrance of the restaurant, damn cute isn't it?! I like the small boy and small girl toilet sign. *kekekeke*

Me posing at the entrance, there wasn't anyone at the reception area so you have to climb the stairs to the restaurant yourself. yes... its on the 2nd floor...

Spotted a toilet bowl at the entrance. *muahahahaha*
Aza said sit on it to take photo then I was like, "cant lah! Lidat cant see the toilet bowl", dun you think the toilet bowl is a tad too small for a normal size person?! *teehee*
That's why we ended up, standing by the side. *grinz*

The seat of the restaurant is made up of lotsa toilet bowls with different designs!! *muahahahahha*
The restaurant is at 2nd floor but 2nd floor was full by the time we reached there so the waitress seated us on the 3rd floor.

*hehehehe* Me cam-whoring at the restaurant while waiting for the food.
I took out my eyelashes extension that morning, bcoz it was soooooooo troublesome and painful and it kept causing me to moodswing.

So yeah, I was quite happy in the picture. *flutter eyelashes innocently*

Me and the mirror. My face looks kinda slanted.

The drinks came, was quite disappointed bcoz the cup was just normal cup, I tot it will be like something to do with the toilet. Mine is green tea but this time with sugar. *teehee*

And my food came, this is like what I eat everyday but I still ordered it bcoz it was their signature dish. But seriously, I cook beta than them ok!! *hehehehehe*
Oh anw, the food was in a toilet bowl, can you see?!

They made the food looks like shit as well. Hope it doesn't affect your appetite after this. *hehehehe*

Aza's one. Hers look more like shit yah, its in brown somemore! *Muahahahahaha*

Our snack: seaweed chicken. I like it but was a little too salty. Oh anw, the restaurant's portion wasn't too big, we were like "thank god!!" We dunwan to waste anymore food!

Our dessert! The shit ice cream! *kekekeke* I think the ice cream is the cutest, dun you think so?!

Aza posing with the ice cream before we start eating. She doesn't really seem happy huh?! Bcoz she doesn't like ice cream. *Muahahahha* Somemore in sucha cold weather.

My turn but I was in the wrong position, against the sunlight so the picture turned out quite dark.

Nvm. I shall cam-whore myself. I will name this picture as, "eat shit and die" *muahahahaha*
Dun worry, unlike Aza, I love love ice cream especially in cold weather. *hehehe*

After our early lunch, we shopped at XMD again. But this time we were shopping at the back alley and saw quite a few nice stores.

Me sitting outside of the fitting room while waiting for Aza to try her denim jeans. She bought 1pair of bermudas for her dad in this oldies shop.

Then we decided to head to some other parts of XMD to find the stores that we had planned to visit but yesterday night was too late to go.

We went to the eslite deparmental store just round the corner of our hotel and Aza was happily pointing to Edwin, her bf's name. Not shy! *hehehehe*

The reason why I wanted to visit eslite is bcoz of Anna Sui!! Back at home, there isn't any Anna Sui store. All we have is some imitation at some bugis villiage. *sheeshhhhh*

Anna Sui doesn't cost like a few thousands so I dun understand why pple still wanna get the imitation!! Just like why pple wanna get imitation for converse shoe... isn't it??! :X

Oh yes... Anna sui.
I bought a handkerchief from there. I had always been wanting to get one from Anna Sui and had been searching online for like a year already. Yes yes... Bcoz of global warming!

Wrapped till very pretty pretty. *teehee* And its in purple wrapper somemore! *beams*

*Tadah*
They got really a lot of handkercheif and I had a hard time choosing it. So in the end I got this, purple flower with a bit of lace, Aza said it kinda suits me. I love it!

Next is 美国二手货市场 but we couldn't find the store as the map is a little too confusing, *whisper* we look at the map for 500 times but still couldn't get to the store. In the end, we ended up at another place, 诚品西门店, which we planned to go anyway.

Along the way, we saw another eslite store. Its like everywhere... *muahahahaha*

诚品西门店 is a damn cool deparmental store. Its suppose to be a book store and open for 24hrs and every store is with different theme thus selling different brands. In XMD one, they have got PlayBoy. *teehee*

I was so tempted to buy one of the pouches which is hot pink and patent leather!! but in the end I didn't. Kinda regret now. Damn! *GRRRrrr!*

So...... If you ever like something, just buy, dun ever doubt!! What's the point of doubting the regret later right?! *teehee*

As I said, suppose to be a bookstore right so I bought 2books from there. I tell ya, the bookstore is damn big and has all the books you are looking for. The atmosphere there is damn good bcoz when you're there, you really feel like buying something.

The 2 books that I bought are 萧敬腾的成年礼 and Kevin's makeup book.
Actually one of my reasons to go to Taipei is to buy 萧敬腾's book *muahhahahaha*, I had tried to find the book in almost all the bookstores in Singapore but to no avail. I finished his book on the plane ride back, I tell ya, words by words and its not in simplified chinese ok.

And kevin is the best best makeup artist man, I dun think that there is anyone who can play with colours soooooo well like him. He makes me soooo interested in make-up. *teehee*

Walking out of 诚品西门店, I saw the Taipei blood donation bus.
We decided to head back to our hotel to put our shopping stuffs and give up on the 美国二手货市. But as we were heading back, I got a strong instinct that it is just across the road that we are walking.

So we crossed the road and found the store! *wink*

Its situated at some ulu alleys that no one will even give a second look, look like those streets that u will got rob or rape. *sign* But the whole alley/street is in American theme so the stores there are all selling American Stuffs. Damn cool, I tell ya, the wall is full of very nice graffiti...

There it is. The store we spent the whole afternoon finding it. We were soooo tired by the time we found it...

Inside the store... were all the retro and vintage stuffs. Kinda nice but a tad too messy.
I dunno izzit me or what, the price is really unjustifiable...

A little too disappointed about it.
After which, we walked all the way back to our hotel and we were super tired.

Another funny signage in the hotel. *hehehehe*

Next stop: 淡水老街
Ya know, *whisper* we were so tired and lazy, our plan was supposed to go to 淡水 for hot spring, its a old-dynasty theme where you can dress up like those chinese princess but in the end we lied on the bed and watched porn *muahahahaha* till like 4pm.

We gave up on the hot spring but still headed to 淡水 anw.

On MRT ride to 淡水, the station is the last stop so it was a damn long journey. Aza is damn bad ok, she said she knows the journey gotta be long so she brought along her mp3, and she nv remind me about it leh. Ended up I got no mp3 to listen to!! *GRRRrrrr!!*

Anw, from the video, Taipei looks sooooo much like Japan yah! *grinz*

我们到了!!
After like an hour or 45mins MRT ride, we finally reached 淡水. Another laid back town and was damn cooling, perhaps it was very near to the sea.

Street of 淡水, there were so much stores and even have a store that specially sell Play Boy, even though the street looks kinda old.

We ended up spending almost all our cash on souvenir and food that we planned to buy back home. I bought 3 freaking box of Taiwanese pineapple tarts; each box is with 20pieces and several packs of 鐵蛋 bcoz elle told me to get her a pack. Their pineapple tart is quite big and its soooooooooo heavy, ya know. *shakes head*

Seriously, I am like carrying 10kgs worth of stuffs!! *jaw drops*
Anw, after spending almost all my cash, I saw the colourful rain boots, it was like what I've always been looking for. I dun care if I cant fit bcoz I just wanna owe one and its so cheap, around SGD $50. BUT........ *hang head* they dun accept credit card!!

I was sooooooooo sad then!! *sob sob*

Food not to be missed at 淡水: 阿给与鱼丸
*hehehehe* Luckily, we had some small change left and could still afford the fishballs.

There were quite a lot of fishball stores over at 淡水 and we randomly went into this oldies one bcoz it was the first store we saw and the boss seemed quite nice.

Oldies shop with oldies utensil. *hehehe* Damn retro!!

The fishball!
Why it is so special is bcoz the fishball has got meat filing inside. Just like our fuzhou fishball back home isn't it?! But I nv dare to eat the fuzhou fishball bcoz I think it was quite gross... *hehehehe* But this 阿给与鱼丸 is quite nice, I kinda like it! *teehee*

I dunno what this is. The boss recommended it to us, he said we can only get it in 淡水. But it was damn gross, we only have like 2mouths and we gave up. The orange sauce tasted very weird and sweet! *eeeeeyyyerrr*

I dunno but I feel the boss of the stall hates us *stick out tongue*

I highlighted a lot of 淡水's delicacies such as 阿嬤的酸梅湯, smelly bean curd, fried prawn roll & dine at café along the river side to watch sunset from there but... *sob sob* we got not enuff cash so we didn't have the chance to eat any of it. *ARGHhhhhhh!*

Aza said she nv tot she will buy so much things from there. I nv tot so too!!

Crossed over the road to 淡水老街...

Pretty yah?
It is really nice, cooling and laid back. The feeling will be damn good if...... we weren't carrying such heavy shopping stuffs!! *sign*

Scenary facing 淡水老街. We were told to dine at the cafe and watch sunset but by the time we finished eating the fishball and our shopping, it was too late for sunset; we cant keep track of our time *GRRRRrrr!* Sadded! We missed such a good chance, totally love sunset! I nv like the sun!

One of the shots I took at 淡水老街. Totally love the artefact. *keke*

Me with my peace sign. I tell ya, the place was soooo windy and became so cold as the night approached but when I don on my burberry cashmere shawl, I no longer feel cold!! Cashmere is damn good for cold weather yah!! *nods*

My self-protrait, trying to camwhore myself! *muahahahha*
All my make-up sorta melted by the night, I was too tired to do a touch-up!!

Tall cone ice cream!!

In the making of the tall cone ice cream. It was damn cheap, SGD $1 for THAT tall. *hehehe*

I told ya, its super tall yah!? *hehehe* Anw, I think the staff who work there must be damn sian, everytime and everyday there will be like 5000 tourists who buy the ice cream and then pose for photo.

And me with the ice cream. Yeah... I looked damn tired even though I tried to smile like an idiot.

We also spotted a museum there, something like ripley's believe it or not kinda museum. And everything was so interesting.

Guess what this is?
Looking at the shape, you should know what it is. But nooo.... this is not a masturbation tool!! It is a punishment tools for women in the past who behave too slutty.

*eeeeyyyyyyyerrrrrrrr* I think its gotta hurt!

The famous Lover’s bridge lights up at 7pm so we left 淡水老街 at around 7.30pm to the bus station. And we almost died on the way there, bcoz the stuffs were soooo heavy.

At the bus station's toilet, badly need to pee after walking a long way to the bus station. *hehehe*

To get to the Lover's bridge, we had to take bus 26 from the station.

On the bus with a lot of shopping stuffs... I think its like carrying a pig around *stick out tongue*.
Anw, bcoz we dunno the exact location of the bridge, kua kua, we asked a local for the direction and she told us to alight somewhere.

And we foolishly did and to our horror, *jaw drops* there isn't any bridge or whatsoever. Its like almost an ulu land so I tot there isn't any bus stop near the bridge and we had to walk. When I finally know where is the location of the bridge, I almost fainted. Its like hundred miles away from where we are.

We are like stuck ok, we dunno to walk there or to go back but the problem is we dunno where's the location of the bus stop that goes back to the station

In the end, we decided to walk to the Lover's bridge. *hang head very sadly*

Us cam-whoring while resting on the way and almost on the verge of giving up. But we could not give up bcoz we are like in the middle of nowhere.

Its so freaking tired, ya know. Carrying such heavy stuffs, walking for a long time, hungry and freaking cold! I swear I will nv be that tired anymore in my life!! *stick out tongue*

After walking like what seems to be 4hours, we finally saw the sign!!!

But the lover's bride is still a long long way ok!!
We were so pathetic, we had to walk a few steps then rest and walk again and rest and walk again bcoz we were soooooooo tired from carrying all the stuffs.

Wait... Must look at the direction signage to see which direction to take. They called it Valentine's bridge and its still far far away!! *faint*

After walking for another 4hours...
We started seeing some parts of the bridge (Aza pointing towards the bridge)
But as you can see... its still far away!! *frown fiercely*

After another 4hours of walking, *hehehe* We are getting nearer & nearer! *yeah yeah*

And finally!!!
*Cue for thunder and lightning*

Soooooooooooooooo pretty!!
I put this as my wallpaper for almost 2months already and I cant bear to change!! If you want it as your wallpaper, you can just click on the picture. But that night, I was too tired to adjust my camera's ISO, so the bigger picture will slightly be dotted.

Vertical view from Aza's camera. But she resized the photo till it is toooo small for wallpaper.

Me trying to capture what Aza was doing then.... Camwhoring with the bridge! *hehehehe*

Middle of the bridge. Slightly slanted but I like it!
This picture brought back much memories... actually some unwanted memories. *hehehehe* I dunwan to put myself into such situation anymore! *stick out tongue*

Walking under the bridge, it lights up so beautifully and of coz true to its name, there were a lot of couples.

We told a random person to help us with a picture:

And it turned out sooooooo freaking ugly. Damn sad ok. I look like I got such a huge hunchback. And there isn't red-eye reduction!!

Luckily, I asked that random person to take another one with my camera...

*tadah* I like this picture so much ok. We both look sooooo happy though we were like half dead already. *kekeke*

Anw, we were so hungry then but poor us, got not enuff cash to buy the fried chicken cutlet there and had to continue carrying that heavy shopping stuffs and look for a bus stop home.

And we realised there is a bus stop right beside the bridge and the bus which we took earlier alights there!! Sooooo angry ya know with that lady who tried to help but got us into such sadness-situation.

But for the bus stop heading back to the station, *jaw drops* we had to walk a few more miles. At first, we didn't know so we asked the security over there in CHINESE. My god... He die die also wanna reply in English and to my amazement he speaks real fluent English. Kinda shock isn't it?! *Muahahahahaha*

So I told aza he must have answer such questions like 500 times a day to tourist like us. *evil laughter*

Anw, before we could reach the bus stop which is still far away, there was an oncoming bus, the bus driver is damn nice, he actually stopped and asked us where we are heading to. In the end, he told us to board his bus and he drove us back to the MRT station. *hehehehe*

Sooooo nice lah!
I could be dead by the time I walked to the bus stop, he saved my life!! *teehee*

Anw, we were supposed to go to P.S Bubu restaurant for dinner after that.
If you are a F4 fans or watch F4 drama, you should know the restaurant, the restaurant is a car restaurant where you can sit in a car and have your meal or ice cream. Yeah?!

But bcoz of the VERY nice lady who told us the wrong direction, we were too late to go, the restaurant will be closing by the time we reached there. It closes at 9.30pm! Damn sadded man!!!!!!

That's why we head back to XMD straight. And bought a milk tea before we proceeded up to our hotel.

The milk tea from 鼎级 which I had mentioned in my previous Taipei post.
The pearls are like free of charge, almost half cup full and they put lotsa milk into the tea which made the tea damn nice.

Such a huge cup cost only NT390. Milk tea there are damn cheap given the fact that they put sooooo much pearls eh!! *hehehe*

We brought enuff cash after a bit of rest in the hotel and headed to the oh-my-god-famous 阿宗面綫!! My god... Regardless of what time, there will always be a long queue but the queue was always damn fast.

Look at the crowd standing there to consume their 面綫. Freaking a lot and its 10pm then lor!! And by the time we started queueing, 阿宗面綫 was sold out. We are like damn suay isn't it?!

10pm still haven have our dinner and when it was almost our turn, the thing got sold out.
Not suay meh!?

We tried to go to 上海老天祿滷味 but everything was sold out and before we know, the whole XMD was closing as well. I was like, "huh dun tell me we have to go to seven/eleven and see idiot+sickening cashier AGAIN!" *hang head*

But we didn't *muahahahaha*, we bought some fried dumplings and bbq sweet corn from the street hawkers back to our hotel to consume. The fried dumplings were sooooo nice, perhaps I was too hungry but it was one of the best dumpling I ever had!!

Aza had the bbq corn and she said it was like heaven. I tried some and I really think it was good! I dunno what kinda sauce they put while bbqing but it was super nice lor! I guess she must be missing the corn now. *hehehehe* I miss the corn & dumpling too actually!

Perhaps we were too hungry, you reckon?!

Anw, we weren't really full after finishing the street hawker stuffs so I randomly suggested that it would be perfect if there is some dessert. And Aza readily agreed that we should go down and have our dessert. *muahahahaha* That is the first time that I had seen her agreed so readily to dessert. This girl doesn't have a sweet tooth seriously. She has been missing out something great in life *hehehehe*

We headed down once more, I tell ya, the hotel staffs must have hated us, bcoz we keep going up and down the hotel and we had to hand them the keys when we travelled out, I dunno lah, that's their policy. Anw, we headed down w/o changing, with our ugly t-shirt for sleeping and our hot pants. *muahahahahha*

We went back to the oldies dessert shop that we patronized the night before, well, that was the only shop opened out of the entire street anw. *hehehehe* The boss was so nice... He remembered us and greeted us, something like, "hey! You are here again" in those very warming tone. *teehee* Both me and Aza like him a lot!!

We had tao huey with pearl and lotsa big chucky ice. *hehehe* They dun call it tao huey but I forgot what do they called it. Anw, this tao huey is SUPER NICE!!

Aza said that the reason why she nv eat tao huey in Singapore is bcoz the tao huey back home sucks quite big time but the the tao huey in Taipei is damn damn nice. SO she loves it!

I love it too. The tao huey is like melt in your tongue the moment it enters your mouth. OMG! OMG! Its sooooooooooo smooth. *drool*

I shall end this post with this picture:

*muahahahaha*

We tried to squeeze all the thing we bought into our lugguage. It was a super tedious process, I tell ya. Its like trail and error, putting in, taking out until everything fits in. By the time, we bath, packed everything and finished watching our HK drama, it was almost 3am!! *stick out tongue*

And we fell asleep almost immediately ZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz...
Travelling isn't really all fun sometimes!!
