The Wonders of the Wanderluster

Giraffe.

I always think giraffe is a very cute animal and I like them a lot.
Especially their amazing long lashes and their spot.
They can never fail to make your day.

I been there. Have you been there?

Hee... I am talking about the Giraffe restaurant and bar which is situated at the Istana Park, directly opposite Plaza Sing.

When I first saw the restuarant at Plaza Sing, I was like, "hmmmm... Giraffe!". Isn't it cute?

When we stepped into the restaurant, I was surprised that it was full of ang mohs and nobody cares about us. So we stood at the entrance for like 5mins before a waiter came, I was a bit pissed but realised that the rest of the waiters were having their dinner when I walked in.

Dinner started at 6.15pm but we arrived at 6pm so a bit too early.

However, it is better to have a reservation bcoz we were sat outside at level 2 and the interior with air-con was fully reserved.

Given the menu to order our dishes first. Hee... Even the menu is so cute and colourful eh!

Drinks

Since the dinner has not started, we ordered our drinks first. Anw, they never serve plain water so either you have to go thirsty or order a drink. Hee... I ordered the easiest one, which is Lime frozen magarita, the one in white. The waiter who served us didn't tell me that there are flavours to choose from until we asked him. He wasn't very sure of the menu too and had to go down and asked his colleague. But I am sure we are not the first one to order such drink right.

And then 10mins later, the drinks came and my magarita was dripping out of the glass so much that it became a very horrified scene bcoz it has melted very badly which explain the tissue on the table. The waiter apologized and since he apologized then I just let it be. Bcoz it is melting so horribly, I have to drink it fast, perhaps I drank too much at one go, I felt the kick like immediately, I was like so dizzy, hot and wanted so much to sleep.

Appetizer

The appetizer. I din know they will serve bread if not I will order a soup too. The bread came with olive spread and since I am a bit tipsy, I tot it was caviar. Oh yeah, caviar my head. Anw, the bread is soft and hot, it was really nice.

The appetizer we ordered, its so different from the calamari we had eaten in other restaurants and I must say its superb. I like it bcoz you wun get sick of it after eating a few pieces.

The main course

Grilled chicken and I love the sauce. Its was full of herb taste, at first it was weird but after a few mouths I think its kinda nice.

Giraffe burger.

Its a freaking big burger mannnn.

Dessert.

*Drool* Lava chocolate cake, serve with ice cream.
Yummlicious!

And the design of the dessert is damn cute lah. Its like you cant bear to ruin the two giraffes.

Hehe... A well-fed person is a happy person! :)

Ambience.

For this restaurant I think the ambience is the attraction point. The food is ok, the service is ok but the ambience is the best. Of course, it is better if you go when the night falls.

Now I can tell everyone I hv been to Giraffe. Teehee...
