Seoul Grand Park... Part 2

Korea National Museum of Comtemporary Art.
Situated in a certain area of Seoul grand park and need to travel by the cable car of course.

You get to see a lot of art sculptures before you reached the entrance of the art gallery.

I like this the most:

It is called competing life. Bcoz at the opposite side, there is always a person there pushing that big circular object so in the end, that circular object will always remain at that point.

Lets look at the expression of the person who is pushing:

I guess it is either bcoz they have always been a willing player in such a world or perhaps they have already get used to such action.

The museum was exhibiting art piece that is related to Noah's Ark:

Noah's Ark was a vessel built at God's command to save Noah, his family, and a core stock of the world's animals from the Great Flood. The story is contained in the Hebrew Bible, Christian Old Testament's book of Genesis, chapters 6 to 9 and in the Quran.

Begins with God observing man's evil behaviour and deciding to flood the earth and destroy all life. However, God found one good man, Noah, "a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time," and decided that he would carry forth the lineage of man. God told Noah to make an ark, and to bring with him his wife, and his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives. Additionally, he was told to bring examples of all animals and birds, male and female. In order to provide sustenance, he was told to bring and store food.

Noah and his family and the animals entered the Ark, and "the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened, and the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights." The flood covered even the highest mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet, and all creatures on Earth died; only Noah and those with him on the Ark were left alive.

After 150 days, the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. The waters continued to recede, and after about seventy more days the hilltops emerged. Noah sent out a raven which "went to and fro until the waters were dried up from the earth." Next, Noah sent a dove out, but it returned having found nowhere to land. After a further seven days, Noah again sent out the dove, and it returned with an olive leaf in its beak, and he knew that the waters had subsided. Noah waited seven days more and sent out the dove once more, and this time it did not return. Then he and his family and all the animals left the Ark, and Noah made a sacrifice to God, and God resolved that he would never again curse the ground because of man, and never again would He destroy all life on it in this manner.

In order to remember this promise, God put a rainbow in the clouds, saying, "Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

I think it is a kinda interesting and meaningful story.

I realised that Korean loves to use such revolving door. Every big building I went to, use such gate, including the two hotels I stayed. And if you always watch Korean's Drama, you will also notice that. Almost most of the building in Korea use that kinda door.
Alancia said it is to facilitate the air. hmmm...

This television pagoda is situated directly at the entrance. Btw, the exhibition entrance fee is only about $1500 korean money. Which is cheap. That television pagoda is really huge around the height of three storey.

The Noah's exhibition. Photo taking is prohibited. But I still take photo of art pieces I like bcoz I saw a few korean taking photo as well and with flash somemore. The staff there was standing behind them somemore so I tot they dun mind.

But the staff actually stops me leh. Wth la! Dun have equal treatment lor!

Another exhibition:
Abstract Art...

The whole museum is huge. Really get to sell a lot of art piece of different theme. Bcoz we got caught taking photo, the staff just followed us whereever we go so I couldn't get to capture the rest. :(

We left after my mum complained.

It is so freaking cold that the river has became ice.
We took a free bus ride to the nearest subway station.

Overall, I kinda like Seoul Grand Park, it is cheap and have so much things to see. The best that it is not crowded at all. I think I only see like five persons the whole day I was at there. We din get to see the whole zoo or the botanic & rose garden bcoz was afraid that the museum will be closed by the time we get to there.

But I like that place bcoz all the animals there dun behave normally! :)
I seem to miss Seoul now, it is so freaking hot here in this sunny island. I cant stand it anymore!!!
