Theme park is a culture in Korea.
Korea has simply too many gigantic theme parks available. So while all the shops during CNY is closed, tourists from all over the world will swarm to those theme parks. Bcoz it seems like only gigantic theme park will open for biz throughout the yr.
Early afternoon, walking on the street. It is really freezing my ass off man. It was the first day of CNY then so that explains why it looks like an isolated island.
Most of the shops were closed as well. I heard from our Korean friends, Korean dun have reunion dinner but they have sort of reunion breakfast together during the first day of CNY. I tot they are going to wear Hanbok, the traditional costume of Korea, but turn out only the elderly wear that.
Anw, on the first day of CNY, we met with an accident. On the way to Samsung Everland, the bus that we took rammed onto a taxi. The window of the taxi was shattered, the child who is sitting behind the taxi had a big scare. But luckily, no one was hurt.
An hour ride, we finally reached Samsung everland. Hey look, it is just like a palace!
Just like disneyland, you are able to take photo with their mascot. Which in this case, is a pig bcoz this yr is a pig year! :) The pig is so cute lah...
And the guy pig is even cuter... Omg omg... Look at his little tummy. Hehe... He is so cute.
But inside of Samsung everland wasn't as glam as it outside. hee... The back of the building as shown in the picture is actually drawn on. I dun like that! I prefer real thing. Haha...
Many shops and restaurants with different theme and different cuisine as well. But surprisingly, the things inside is not as expensive as I tot it would be.
They have lotsa lotsa snack bars. I spent most of the money inside buying snacks.
There are many crazy and exciting rides in the theme park. We din really finish all the rides. I have to say that the main difference between Korea and Japan is that Japanese is so focus on quality stuff while Korean is focusing on quantity rather than quality.
Some really retarded railing which I think it spoilt the atmosphere and magical feeling.
Ok... Off to see some special show specially for CNY.
Korean ladies dancing gracefully. I like the pink costume.
Though the dance is very slow, just like their serial drama, and the sun is shining directly at us, I really must say, I enjoy watching. Its nice and really graceful.
Then the guys turn. Drums and turning of head, so that the ribbon on top of their hat will turn.
Then they invite the audience to try out the hat. Check out that stupid mascot which is standing right in the middle of the picture, he looks rather out of shape.
The audience couldn't really perform well so the staffs show us what is called "pro"!
Here comes the beautiful costume. Hand in hand, they dance along with the music, traditional folk song, Arirang. I actually downloaded the Arirang song, can you believe it? haa...
While they were busy dancing, the dog tried to mingle with the crowd but seriously I think the dog dun really go with the costume. I have the urge to pull the head out man.
Came the lion dance. In Korea, the lion really dance! hehe... Do you notice that their lion has really flat face and way too hairy?
At first, I tot the white lion is just very old bcoz he is walking so slow.
And when the other lions are dancing so vigorously, the white lion is just swaying to the left and right. Check out that pink lion, dun you think it was a little big too scary? I think he is super high la.
Ok. So it turns out that the white lion is a disguise. It is actually a golden pig. I think that golden pig is fat and scary and really digesting! Look at the ton of fats on his body!!
Follow by the ladies playing drums.
Then the finale. All the mascot came out and sing together. The king and the queen look like mouse but were actually monkey.
Bow to the audience. Meaning goodbye to us.
So after saying goodbye, it was photo time! faster grab someone to take photo with.
I like the costume lah! we pose like we are good friends lidat! hee...
Tadah... the empress and the emcee. the emcee look like the 5566 wang shao wei and also one HK star. i think not bad looking for a korean!
they even displayed the hat so that audience could try it on.

yes... cable car again! it is like travelling with cable car everywhere we go!

Samsung everland too has their own safari. The staff will sit us in a bus then drive us in to see those animals that are not caged or whatever.
We queue like 1 and a half hour, the queue is horribly long man and especially under such harsh cold weather.
We were really up close to those animals, just separate by a piece of glass. I even see a liger, which is a mixed breed of lion and tiger. I think that liger looks really weird, you can imagine a lion head with a tiger body, I dun like so I din post the photo.
Right after visiting the safari, we were bought to the sovenir store. Damn good marketing strategy ah!

Then ard evening time, there's a road parade.

A bunch of mascot. oh man, they look like gangster.
Another giant-clown-lookalike, dun even know what the hell it is lah. but you see she is carrying two baby-piggy!
Then proceeded to our snow sliding. Just hang our equipment behind our cable car.
Its getting colder and colder!!
Then we sit on the thing, what do you call that thing?, showboard? whatever it is then slide all the way down. the picture you see is only 1/4 of the whole slope. halfway down, i bumped into a deserted snowboard which popped out from nowhere and I fly out of my own snowboard and caused myself to land on the snow flat. -_-
Wah lao! It was so painful. I picked myself up and continued to slide. I cant possibly sit down there and cry right. But sliding down is really quite exiciting, not for weak heart!
And put back our snow board.
And many people have to dry their shoes over the fire. haa... lucky I was with my boots!
